Phillip Hunter Davis is the author of The Penpoint View. He was born in Charleston West Virginia on January 21, 1955 and grew up with two brothers, a sister, one parent (Father deceased) and an occasional stray dog. In his early youth, climbing apple trees in the summer time with a saltshaker was one of his favorite pastimes.
|Drawing was one his earliest exploits of expression as a child, while winning a scholarship to commercial art institute. An avid sportsman in his youth; baseball, football and basketball was one his favorite seasonal pastimes. He also enjoyed martial arts, achieving his brown belt in Hapkido karate. He learned to fly, as a pilot was one of his most memorable exploits as a youth, while working as a dishwasher to earn the money; achieving Instructor Pilot while in the Air Force in small single engine aircraft, capped his flying exploits in the mid 80's.|
Joining the Air Force in 1973 and just before retirement on January 1, 1994 Phillip turned to stage acting and freelance writing. A number of guest columns in the Shreveport Times and a piece in UpRiver magazine (out of print), Shreveport La.
|Phillip is a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).|
Married and as a father and grandfather. Which is tops in Phillip's book of life.
As a recipient of notable rated awards the readers of Nova Site will find in Phillip's mission statement a very clear. Also that he excels in his presentation of the written word augmented with graphics and sound to a level of the “living word.”
