Ole Sam and Spook have long admired the works Karen and Gray Lynch. Over the years poetry has been shared, our grand children have thoroughly enjoyed the stories of Finn McCool and Magic Leprechaun Cat and we discuss at length the bulk of Gray's writings. We are thankful that Karen sharing what she has written. Now everyone can read what has been a bonanza of reading and enjoyment for our families.
Below in Karen's own words:
My interest in creating a website began in 2006. The main purpose of the website was to promote my husband, retired Army Special Forces/ CIA Intelligence Officer Grayston L. Lynchís book Decision for Disaster; Betrayal at the Bay of Pigs and to keep the memory of this watershed event in American history alive and its true story told.
It was also to promote my spy novel The Game of Lies. It was through the talents of Jo Phillips of Spiral Pixel that I was able to achieve my objective and to begin developing a website of which both Jo and I are very proud. The website also includes sections On Writing, where visitors can get help with their writing, a Horse section, where my love of horses, history as an equestrian and horse breeder is shared with visitors, and more recently, we have introduced Finn McCool, the Magic Leprechaun Cat. Three years ago, I began writing short stories about animals.
One story A Small Miracle Named Lady Angel introduced me to a wonderful British author who writes under the pen name Floyd the Dog. He encouraged me to write more short animals stories, which he published in his Floyd the Dog Story Club. Those stories have been read in more then 60 countries spread over 6 continents. Two years ago, I began writing short stories in the name of Finn McCool, the Magic Leprechaun Cat. Finn McCool is a real cat. His mother was Lady Angel. Finn is now Spokescat for my cat rescue Florida Cause for Paws.
All of Finn McCool, the Magic Leprechaun Catís stories are based on Irish legends, folklore or history with a wee bit of leprechaun magic thrown in for fun. My, Finnís and several of our guest author friendsí animal stories can be read in our Story Blog. All of them are family friendly and have happy endings, so make sure to have your children around when you read them.
My husband, Gray, passed away in August of 2008. The main purpose of our website now is to keep his memory, accomplishments and the history he made alive. To make it a place where those who love military and American history will always be able to find the truth behind the watershed event that is the Bay of Pigs invasion. And to bring joyful entertainment to those who love a good story. I invite you to visit, where there is much to be learned and enjoyed.
